HEALING OF SEVERED FINGER
One day, while running, I fell upon a lawn mower that was in operation. One of my fingers came in contact with the blade, thus severing almost completely about an inch of it. The first thought which came to me was, "God is All-in-all," which I expressed audibly, much to the surprise of those standing about. The pain stopped at once. My mother replaced the severed part and wrapped my finger in a cloth, at the same time declaring "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health, p. 468). In less than thirty days the finger was in a perfectly normal condition, the part having been fully restored. There was no medicine or medical attention given it. Since that time I have had countless proofs of the ever presence of God's power. Some of the many healings I have had, have been of broken bones, smallpox, scarlet fever, diphtheria, and many more. In nearly every case the healing has been instantaneous. I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for opening up the Bible and teaching us how to understand it and gain healing from its pages. Lyle W. Jones
