These China Mint gold, silver and copper coins
were minted to commemorate both the XIII Olympic Winter Games
at Lake Placid, NY in 1980, and the recognition of the China
Olympic Committee by the International Olympic Committee. This
proof set is #678 of 1000 produced for the occasion. The 14 coin
set contains (2) .916 fine gold coins, (4) .800 fine silver coins,
and (8) .700 copper coins. The 300 Yuan (10 grams) and 250 yuan
(8 grams) gold coins are 23mm in diameter. The 4 silver coins
are (3) 30 yuan (15 grams) and (1) 20 yuan (10 grams). All coins
are minted in Proof finish and are in mint condition with some
natural toning.
