1991 U. S. O. Commemorative Silver Dollar

 This 90% silver dollar commemorates the 50th anniversary of the United Service Organizations founded in 1941 to provide various services to the United States armed services personnel. The obverse was designed by Rhode Island artist Robert Lamb and features a banner inscribed USO. The reverse features a globe with an eagle on top and was designed by Mint sculptor-engraver John Mercanti.

This coin was issued with both Proof (321,275) and Uncirculated (124,958) finishes.
