payroll tax relief

Beginning in September through December President Trump has signed an executive order for employee payroll tax relief of the 6.2% social security withholding. Medicare withholding of 1.45% will continue in effect. The employer payroll taxes 6.2% social security and 1.45% medicare are still in effect.

Federal and State income tax withholding and estimates are still in effect. So to simplify the above statements, each employee should have an increase in net pay of 6.2% of the gross salary and wages.
