JL Optical Inc. is an American Veteran-owned and operated Florida microscope company since 1992. Our loyal customers are the key to our success and have helped our business thrive for more than 25 years. As a leader in the service industry, JL Optical performs complete preventive maintenance and repair services on microscopes of all kinds, optical comparators, phoroptors, and slit lamps. No job is too large or too small. We appreciate each and every customer. Although founded solely as a service company, our successful growth has afforded us the opportunity to offer a large selection of quality microscopes and accessories. We provide service and sales to all areas including industries, universities, hospitals, laboratories, clinics, veterinary hospitals, as well as individuals.

The President of our company, George Walker, started his optical career in the United States Navy, completing Opticalmen 'A' and 'C' schools and servicing submarine periscopes, ships binoculars and other optical equipment. As a civilian his interest in optics expanded through employment at Carl Zeiss Microscopes, where he had extensive technical training on microscopes at Zeiss in Germany and New York on every light microscope Zeiss made. George has over 40 years of experience in the optical instrument business. He founded JL Optical in 1992 with the goal to keep existing equipment working through exceptional maintenance. All of our knowledgeable technicians also have manufacturer training and numerous years of experience - we wouldn't have it any other way. We also take pride in managing our small business, not just on the outside but behind the scenes too. We love what we do and hope it shows!
